DfE Guidance for Parents 

New guidance published on keeping children safe from abuse and harm

The Department for Education (DfE) has jointly published new guidance with the Home Office, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and Public Health England on keeping children safe from abuse and harm. This guidance brings together sources of information about the main risks children may be vulnerable to during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and signposts you to help and support available.  The guidance gives advice for parents and carers about the main risks children may be particularly vulnerable to at this time and information about available help and support.The guidance can be found here:  https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-keeping-children-safe-from-abuse-and-harm

Omicron variant of COVID-19 in the UK

Please see information below, in italics, from DfE.  Details may alter over the coming days / weeks and we will endeavour to keep you informed of any changes.  Currently, anyone visiting the school will now need to wear masks in corridors and communal areas.

Omicron variant of COVID-19 in the UK

On Saturday 27 November 2021, the Prime Minister announced new temporary measures following the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in the UK. The new measures will be introduced as a precaution to slow down the spread of the variant while we gather more information. We will continue to keep this under review as the situation develops.  Face coverings:  Face coverings should be worn in communal areas in all settings by staff [and] visitors.
